Copyright and takedown

Question papers, mark schemes, inserts, examiner reports, grade thresholds, syllabuses and formula booklets are the copyright of the exam board that published them. For Cambridge files that is Cambridge University Press & Assessment (UCLES). Each file keeps the board’s own copyright notice.

Pastopic’s own work is the notes, the sorting of questions into syllabus topics, and the website itself. Notes are written in our own words; see the terms for how you can use them.

Cambridge, Cambridge International, IGCSE and the names of other exam boards and qualifications are trademarks of their owners. Pastopic uses them only to say which exam a file belongs to. We don’t use any board’s logo, and nothing here is official board material unless it’s one of the board’s own files.

• We only host official board files. Never answers, notes or “topical” compilations made by other sites.
• Each file is kept as the board published it. We don’t edit the content, remove copyright notices or add our own branding.
• Every file is checked for another site’s stamp or watermark, and stamped copies are never used.
• Topical questions are shown by opening the board’s own PDF at the right page. Question text is never copied into the site.
• Notes never copy exam questions. They cite them by paper code and link to them.
• Board files are free to view and download for personal study. We never sell them or put them behind a paywall.

If you hold the rights to anything on Pastopic and want it removed, email us with:

• your name, and the organisation you act for;
• the work you hold the rights to;
• links to the pages or files on Pastopic (a subject or session is fine for a large set);
• a line confirming you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner.

Takedown requests come before everything else. We aim to remove the files within two working days of a complete request and will confirm by email when it’s done.

If you’re an exam board and would rather students were sent to your own website, tell us. We can switch a whole board to links only, so its files are no longer hosted here.

If a file here carries another site’s name or watermark, or isn’t what its label says, please tell us and we’ll replace it.
